The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) declared on Saturday that Sohaib Maqsood has been ruled out of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup due to a back injury sustained while the National T20 Cup.
The 34-year-old batsman has been in superb form after returning to the national team after a five-year cut, which has affected recent travels to England and the West Indies.
He then helped Multan Sultan win the Pakistan Super Bowl this year, scoring five and half-centuries in 12 innings and hitting more boundaries than anyone else in the league.
According to the PCB, a board of specialists checked his injury and directed him unsuitable for the large event, which starts on October 17 in the UAE.
The medical board has asked the batsman to rest and the cricket board has said a replacement will be decided soon.
According to news, the Pakistan Cricket Board is ready to recall Shoaib Malik to the national squad as Sohaib Maqsood was having hardness walking after his injury.

This is the fourth edition in Pakistan’s initial squad that came out on September 4.
Later acknowledging the players’ performance and work while the National T20 Cup, the cricket board on Friday declared three modifications to the line-up.
Mohammad Hasnain and Azam Khan have been replaced by Haider Ali and Sarfaraz Ahmed, while Fakhar Zaman, who was first elected as an alternate and has been replaced by Khushdil Shah.
