The US step and field team dropped a training camp that was set to take place in the Chiba prefecture, which neighbors the country’s capital.

Chiba ruler Toshihito Kumagai replied: “It is a shame that they decide to cancel, but I suppose they made the best decision likely in the current condition.”

There are rising calls in Japan for the Olympics to be eliminated, with the need for the money preferably spent on reviving from the COVID pandemic.

According to Johns Hopkins University Japan, while dodging the gravest consequences of the outbreak, has still suffered 653,363 cases and 11,045 deaths.

Organizers are planning to offer approximately 2,500 Olympic and Paralympic players and staff a coronavirus vaccine from donated shots.

About 1.05% of the Japanese people, or 1,319,881 people, have been entirely vaccinated.

Administrators have declared that Olympic vaccination purposes will not hit the country’s domestic drive.
Pfizer and BioNTech have declared they will donate the doses to the International Olympic Committee to help with its performance.
Requests to cancel or postpone the games have been sufficed with opposition from organizers.

Seiko Hashimoto, director of the Tokyo 2020 organizing committee, declared: “I personally can’t attain that the critique and appeals to cancel or avoid the Olympics are being aimed at the athletes themselves.”
